Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
1. Service description
MCPAmpel ("the Service") is a multi-engine security scanning platform. You submit GitHub repository URLs, and the Service runs automated security analysis using multiple independent engines, returning an aggregated trust score and detailed findings.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit URLs you do not have authorization to scan
- Attempt to overload the service through excessive automated requests beyond your tier limits
- Use the API to build a competing scanning service
- Circumvent rate limits, quotas, or access controls
- Submit malicious payloads designed to exploit the scanning infrastructure
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
3. Scan data visibility
Scan results are publicly accessible by default. Anyone with the scan ID or URL can view the results. Do not submit private repository URLs if you do not want their scan results to be publicly visible.
4. Accounts
The service is currently free. If paid features are introduced in the future, pricing and terms will be communicated with 30 days notice.
5. Account termination
You can delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may terminate accounts for terms violations, prolonged inactivity (12+ months), or at our discretion with reasonable notice.
6. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Scan results are automated assessments, not professional security audits. A clean scan does not guarantee the absence of vulnerabilities.
We are not liable for damages arising from reliance on scan results, service downtime, or data loss.
7. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of your code and repositories. By submitting a URL for scanning, you grant us a limited license to clone and analyze the repository for the purpose of generating scan results.
Cloned repositories are deleted immediately after scanning. We do not store your source code beyond the scan duration.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by German law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Dresden, Germany.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
